KDDI and Samsung complete live free-viewpoint video stream test on 5G
Jun 27, 2018 – KDDI and Samsung have announced that together with KDDI Research, Okinawa Cellular Telephone and Advanced Telecommunications Research Institute International (ATR), it has successfully completed a real-time free-viewpoint video streaming test using 5G-supporting devices.

KDDI and Samsung complete 5G multi-device trial in Okinawa
Mar 26, 2018 – KDDI and Samsung have announced the completion of a 5G field trial held in Okinawa Cellular Stadium in Japan. The trial showcased a live feed of 4K video contents downloaded and streamed simultaneously on 5G tablets.

KDDI launches Video Pass online movie service
May 15, 2012 – KDDI (Tokyo:9433) and Okinawa Cellular have announced the launch of Video Pass. Video Pass movies can be viewed on smartphones, via HDMI from a smartphone to a TV, or on PCs and tablets. An Android-based set-top box is also under development by KDDI.
